Mace and Lithuania GB/ACE Modular Construction were delighted to present an educational event on Modular Construction, 6th July 2018. 80 select guests were invited to participate in what were informative high level presentations followed by Q&A. The Hon Richard Evans, Founder of Lithuania GB/ACE Modular Construction and Victoria Popova, Associate Director at Mace launched the day welcoming developers, investors, contractors, architects leading to a political perspective on Off-Site Construction by former Minister Phil Woolas, in-depth technical presentations by Lithuania GB/ACE Modular Construction supply chain from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Milan and a UK Engineering firm. Completing with a final presentation by Matt Gough, Head of Innovation at Mace the key focus of this event was to tackle the myths and present the truths indeed sheer benefits about modular solutions, including panel and volumetric, and what is technically possible in both residential and commercial Off-Site Construction including design options. With very limited capacity from UK Modular factories, compared to the Baltic’s and other Countries, the UK Government target for 1 million homes by 2020 is considered unrealistic by most construction professionals indeed in other sectors.
